Hamburg Yacht Festival - three days full program

The Hamburg marina will once again be the meeting place for the boating community in the north. From September 6 - 8, the Hamburg Yacht Festival will take place in Wedel for the second time. After the great success of last year's premiere with around 10,000 visitors, there will once again be a big festival for boating on the Elbe. Whether beginner or expert, sailor or motorboater, there is a full three-day program for all boating enthusiasts and those who want to become one. 

Around 60 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest boats, products and services at the In-Water Boat Show on Pier B and on the maritime marketplace around Hall 2. These include well-known boat brands such as Jeanneau, Dehler, Bente, RM, Lis, Elling, Delphia, Karnic, ZAR, Sterk and Quicksilver, as well as service and accessory providers such as Yamaha, Secumar, Kadematic, Mörer, Flin Solar, Toplicht, Lütje Bootsbau, Wrede and Pantaenius.

The large supporting program on the three days around boating offers something for everyone. For those interested in sailing, our partners Deutscher Segler-Verband, Hamburger Segel-Verband and Segel-Verband Schleswig-Holstein will be offering trial sailing sessions for children and adults. On Saturday, the "Yacht Festival Cup" will be sailed on the Elbe and kids will gain their first regatta experience at the "Yachthafen-Opti-Pokal" in the safe harbor. The RC sailors impressively demonstrate with their model boats that it is possible to sail without a large yacht. Boaters without sails are also catered for. The Hamburg Motorboat Association invites you to a rally in Wedel on Saturday.

There will be informative presentations and live demonstrations on various topics on the stage in Hall 2 and at the harbor basin. Questions about boat engines will be answered by Blauwasser.de at an on-site seminar. The Hamburg Sailing Association and the Schleswig-Holstein Sailing Association are organizing a panel discussion on Saturday morning with representatives from politics and tourism on the subject of water sports on the Elbe.

The topic of "Safety on the water" is the focus of the outdoor stage. Exciting and useful presentations on the topic of safety on board are aimed equally at motorboat drivers and sailors, beginners and "salt humpers". Experts will be on hand to offer advice. Something will also be done about sustainability. The popular maritime flea market will take place in Hall 4 on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. For kids, there will be the German Sailing Association's youth lab and the "Fun & Games for Kids" campaign organized by Hamburger Sparkasse. 

The boating festival is rounded off with delicious food and drink on the large food court and the evening parties in Hall 2. On Friday, you can dance the night away at "Wedel tanzt" with DJ Robert'o and DJ Georg Rehn. On Saturday, you can sing along again at "Wedel sings" (with admission). Afterwards, the "JustForFun-Hitband" will be rocking at the "Yachthafen-Party".

Admission to the Hamburg Yacht Festival is free of charge. The In-Water Boat Show is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
