The P-boat is known by various names, including: P-boat, P-cruiser, P-cruiser, 15-foot dinghy cruiser, or 15-square-meter dinghy cruiser.

Originally designed as a dinghy cruiser for shallow waters, the 15-square-meter dinghy cruiser has continued to evolve to this day. With a length overall of 6,500 mm and a maximum beam of 2,500 mm, this design class has always been a source of innovation. Thanks to its enormous popularity—the DSV now lists hull number 1,950 in its yacht register—this boat continues to enjoy great popularity among both cruising and racing sailors.
