DESCRIPTION
The modern look continues the new design language of the SUNBEAM 28.1. The new SUNBEAM 22.1 appeals to both cruising and racing sailors and is versatile. Continuous chines on the hull as well as a backstayless self-trimming mountain current rig underline these ambitions. Two-metre-long benches, as well as bow and stern baskets, sea rail, bathing ladder plus self-tailing winches on the coachroof, all included as standard, reflect the claim to comfort.
In cooperation with J&J Design, numerous intelligent detailed solutions were developed, such as the recoverable pre-balanced bionic rudder or the swivelling ballast sword. In this variant, the ballast body is integrated into the hull and ensures high safety and stability. The outboard motor can be lifted out of the water very conveniently on a rail and stowed easily and safely in one of the port boxes in the cockpit without having to dismantle it separately.
The 6.85-metre-long and 2.50-metre-wide SUNBEAM 22.1 can be easily slipped and trailered thanks to its low weight of 1.3 tonnes and an integrated mast-laying device. With a mainsail of 17.5 square metres and a headsail of 9 square metres, the new SUNBEAM 22.1 is anything but underpowered and can optionally be equipped with a furling gennaker. Thanks to the special hull design at the bow, the interior with a double berth offers ample space for this size of boat and can be extended to four berths if required.
Whether for family holidays or regatta use, the new SUNBEAM 22.1 is the ideal solution for sailors who like to be mobile and flexible all year round.
