Together with the Hamburg Sailing Association and its affiliated clubs, the DSV organizes the Days of Sailing on the occasion of the HAMBURG Yacht Festival. Taster sailing on small yachts accompanied by an experienced skipper. Glide easily and silently over the water and catch the sailing bug.
The young sailors will be on land with their experimental laboratory. All age groups are invited to take part in experiments involving water, wind and sailing. The children and young people carry out their own experiments on topics such as hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, as well as the protection of our waters.

Many a boat that has been abandoned could still have been afloat if systematic spill prevention had been carried out.
On the other hand, it is also a challenge to find the right moment to abandon the boat.
How to prepare and how to act practically is the subject of the demonstration and our MINI workshops, for which please join a registration list at our Meri Crash.
The Meri Crash is our spill response training boat with real leaks and real water.

Dirk Hilcken explains what boat owners can do themselves to avoid unnecessary risks on the water. The insurance expert also provides an overview of insurance policies - which ones make sense and which ones are necessary?

As long as people have gone to sea, they have been afflicted by seasickness. From mild malaise, to severe courses, to total abandonment, it accompanies seafarers around the world. Nevertheless, not all people become seasick and for many who do, the symptoms disappear after 2-3 days at sea, they adapt. This adaptation process is the basis of a therapeutic approach that Thomas Bickhardt will explain in his lecture.
Seafaring psychologist and photographer, trained sailor.
Grew up in Germany, lived on the Norwegian west coast for almost 30 years. Also worked as a lighthouse keeper on Kråkenes fyr.
