ABOUT US
Saare is a European brand and the boats are manufactured in the far north, on the island of Saaremaa in Estonia. The German-owned shipyard is located near the beautiful town of Kuressaare in the fishing village of Nasva. We manufacture the complete boat according to the owner's wishes and needs.
Saare means island in Estonian, but for us Saare is much more than just a sailing island, Saare is a kind of state of mind. You enjoy beautiful craftsmanship paired with an excellent choice of materials, outstanding sailing characteristics and individualism, you have a Saare mentality.
The island of Saaremaa has a long history of boat building and there are many different shipyards on the island. The University of Tallinn has an engineering department there, including a towing tank.
Estonian boatbuilding has a long tradition and a high reputation.
Saare Yachts was founded in 1991 with the production of small wooden boats and has developed its way of building boats over the years. Since 1997, the shipyard has built more than 250 complete Finngulf yachts as a contractor.
The Saare Yachts brand was launched in 2008. Since then, more than 60 Saare Yachts have been built and delivered to more than 18 countries. We are and will remain a small, family-run business.
Saares have crossed the Atlantic, sailed to Iceland, the Mediterranean, the North Sea and of course the Baltic Sea. Saare owners report how safe and easy their boat sails. Our yachts are used as cruisers, for club regattas and worldwide offshore sailing.
