WHAT

Sebastian Wache ist vielen Seglern von aus TV, Radio und vielen Events bekannt. Auch sein Instagram-Auftritt und Wetter-Podcast erfreuen sich großer Beliebtheit. (Wetter) Routing kennen die meisten nur von großen Regatten. Zwar können heute Plotter und Navigationsprogramme helfen, doch die sichere Interpretation erfordert Erfahrung. Sebastian Wache erklärt, wie auch Blauwasser Segler von ihm sicher um die Welt geführt werden.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Sebastian Wache, Diplom- und Medienmeteorologe. Als erfahrener Wetter-Router unzähliger Yachten weltweit hat er sich einen Namen in der Seglerszene gemacht. Sebastian Wache ist Diplom-Meteorologe und präsentiert seit Sommer 2020 das Wetter im NDR. Sebastian ist in Mönchneversdorf am Bungsberg (Kreis Ostholstein) aufgewachsen, verheiratet und Vater eines Sohnes. Sein Job kommt ihm auch bei seinem Hobby zugute: dem Segeln. Er hat bereits den Atlantik überquert (von Ost nach West) und auch einmal den Pazifik durchfahren (von Nord nach Süd).

Egal ob Du ein neues System an Bord einrichten willst, oder ein bestehendes System erweitern möchtest. Erfahre welche Möglichkeiten es rund um das NMEA Netzwerk an Bord gibt und wie wichtig die Kalibrierung der Geber ist, um die richtigen Daten angezeigt zu bekommen. Mit Erweiterungen wie dem Orca Core 2 von Orca Navigation, einem Cyclops Lasten-Sensor oder einem WiFi Gateway kann ich sicher und schnell segeln.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Der Referent Oliver Ochse arbeitet als Segeltrainer auf einer Archambault M34 Regatta Yacht. An Bord ein Garmin N2K System mit zusätzlichen Komponenten von Cyclops und Orca.
Welche Werte besonders interessant sind und bei der Navigation und dem Segeln unterstützen können ist immer auch Inhalt bei den Segeltrainings an Bord auf Mallorca.

WHAT

A life jacket protects its wearer from drowning and is therefore the most important lifesaver on board. After all, there are many ways to get into the water involuntarily. Another advantage: life jackets ensure that the person in the water independently turns to the supine position and thus keeps the head above water. This keeps the airways clear.

Ergänzt wird seine Arbeit durch Workshops, Monitoring und die kontinuierliche Betreuung weltweit aktiver Langfahrt- und Weltumsegler.
