Many a boat that has been abandoned could still have been afloat if systematic spill prevention had been carried out.
On the other hand, it is also a challenge to find the right moment to abandon the boat.
How to prepare and how to act practically is the subject of the demonstration and our MINI workshops, for which please join a registration list at our Meri Crash.
The Meri Crash is our spill response training boat with real leaks and real water.

With its 12.5 meter boats, the Class 40 is one of the most attractive classes in international ocean sailing. It is regarded as a stepping stone between the Class Mini and the IMOCA class (Vendée Globe) and attracts thousands of spectators to the starting and arrival ports worldwide. The boats impress with their high-tech boat design and speed.
Well-known regattas in this class include the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Transat Jaques Vabre, which is considered the toughest double-handed race in the world.
Let Lennart Burke and Melwin Fink from "Next Generation" guide you through the Class 40.
OCEAN ROWING BOATS ARE FULLY SEAWORTHY
The buoyancy characteristics are adapted to the rough sea. Navigation and radio equipment, satellite telephone, distress equipment (emergency radio beacon, life raft) and drinking water purifier are usually available. There are lockable cabins in the stern or bow of the boat, where the sportsmen sleep and stay during storms and store supplies. Knowing your own boat inside and out in your sleep is practically essential for survival. After all, you have to be able to do everything right away in a storm and at night.
