On the other hand, it is also a challenge to find the right moment to abandon the boat.
How to prepare and how to act practically is the subject of the demonstration and our MINI workshops, for which please join a registration list at our Meri Crash.

WHAT

Never without! Lifejacket. If a person goes overboard, the lifejacket and rescue options are of central importance. You will learn details about the design, use and maintenance of your lifejacket, various recovery systems will be explained and demonstrated in practice in the demonstration pool (Walden system) and on trips out at sea (Catch and Lift system).

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Burkhard Rosenberg is a trained navigator and has been an active regatta and cruising sailor for over 50 years. Since 2016, he has been a retired water police officer and co-developer of the skipper safety tips for water sportsmen and women of the German Association for Sea Rescue (FSR). For 15 years he has been available to interested sailors and boat owners as well as clubs and associations with his extensive experience.

WHAT

This live lecture is about the sails for the way to leeward. Depending on the wind conditions, we set the gennaker, code 0 or spinnaker on the boat directly at the jetty.
Modern boats and rigs offer many different types of foresails for the space sheet course. Oliver Ochse explains on a boat live in the water which sail makes sense when and what needs to be considered.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Oliver Ochse has been working for over 20 years as a sailing instructor and sailing coach on planing dinghies, small keelboats and regatta yachts.
My work focuses on the following areas:

- Sailing coach for the J 70 MasterClass on small keelboats in Pollensa, Berlin and on Lake Constance
- Trainer for gennaker and regatta training on the Archambault M 34 "Petit Chasseur"
