WHAT
What is allowed, what is not. What must be observed? What rules apply and where can I find them?
Passionate sailor, water sports journalist, podcaster - Hinnerk Weiler loves the water and he loves talking about water sports. Our event stage host was himself on the move on the world's oceans by sailboat for several years and leads through the varied programme with exciting interviews and live shows. After his time on board, the former editor of a Hamburg sailing magazine was drawn to the Alps, and today he works freelance from Switzerland and publishes in various maritime media. So he has remained true to the sea and spends several months a year mainly in Nordic areas. With "Segelradio" he publishes a podcast about life on board.
What is allowed, what is not. What must be observed? What rules apply and where can I find them?
Head of the Cruising and Leisure Sailing Department in the DSV, passionate cruising sailor for more than 35 years.
A lot can go wrong when looking for a boat if you buy a yacht without a plan. I'll show you how to avoid mistakes by taking a structured approach to your boat search and not jumping the gun out of infatuation. We'll discuss how to find a boat that suits you, your planned trips and your budget, and how to avoid making mistakes in the purchase process during price negotiations, the technical assessment of the yacht and the handover.
Marie Schneider accompanies and advises boat seekers throughout Europe. After a sabbatical at sea, the doctor of economics has devoted herself entirely to her passion, boats. Her YouTube channel "MARIETIM" is the largest German-language technical sailing channel. She runs theoretical and practical seminars, always with the desire to get more women interested in sailing and technical boating know-how.
The underwater hull... for many boat owners it can only be worked on very laboriously and usually with moderate success. But a well-maintained underwater hull is the guarantor for the value retention of a yacht.
Rust on the keel, leaking rubber joint in the keel-hull connection, damp rudder blade, over-coating, osmosis?
What is osmosis, how can it be detected, how can it be prevented or remedied? Is there a professional answer to rust and corrosion in steel and aluminum?
These are the questions we will address in our lecture and, with the help of clear photographic material, we will provide an entertaining and to the point insight into the professional underwater ship refit with the technical possibilities of the specialist.
The experts at Peter Wrede Yacht Refits specialize in yacht painting and underwater hull refurbishment: osmosis prevention / remediation, corrosion protection, blasting and coating. For more than 30 years, everything we do has revolved around protecting the surfaces of yachts. With our team we realize the refit wishes of our customers in modern blasting and painting facilities at our locations in Hamburg, Neustadt, Kappeln and Greifswald.
Florian Brix, our man "at the front" has been part of the Wrede team for over 15 years and has seen just about every refit case. With his expert knowledge and great photographic material, he provides insights into the professional Peter Wrede underwater ship refit.
The widespread fear of port maneuvers has a technical and a psychological/mental side. In our demonstration, we would like to give you an idea of how it is possible to bring some calm and serenity to the processes.
Mara Zapp is the (new) head of the Well Sailing school and Lena Wernsing is an experienced instructor, not just for harbor maneuvers.
Mara will be sailing the maneuvers with her crew and Lena will be giving wise comments from shore - as befits a proper harbor cinema.
This lecture is about preparing for a cruise: from planning to taking over the yacht, putting together a good seamanship and what you can fall back on to prepare yourself.
And how can the Yachtsport-Club Deutschlands e.V. help with all this?

The citizen science project Sailing for Oxygen is a joint (citizen) research project between Trans-Ocean e.V. and the GEOMAR Research Center in Kiel. Sailors use a probe to help collect important data on temperature, oxygen and salt content on their trips in the Baltic Sea. The role model is Boris Herrmann, who also collects data on his trips with the Malizia in order to better understand climate change. We show how it works and how sailors can actively participate.
Marcus Warnke is a dedicated cruising sailor and has been Chairman of Trans-Ocean e.V. (TO) since 2022. In his role, he drives the further development of the association. It is the initiator of the cooperation with GEOMAR.
