A J 80 is available in the water event area to demonstrate the techniques involved in handling the gennaker. Setting, jibing, and striking with a small crew requires practice and experience. Optimized techniques are particularly important with a small crew, and markings are extremely helpful.
If the wind is too strong to set the gennaker, there is still the Code 0 or, as in real life, the mainsail and headsail trim.
