On the panel, representatives from the three federal states bordering the Lower Elbe and politicians will discuss the topic of "Water sports tourism on the Elbe".
The sailing youth will be present on shore with their experimental laboratory. All age groups are invited to experiment with water, wind and sailing.
As long as people have gone to sea, they have been afflicted by seasickness. From mild malaise, to severe courses, to total abandonment, it accompanies seafarers around the world. Nevertheless, not all people become seasick and for many who do, the symptoms disappear after 2-3 days at sea, they adapt. This adaptation process is the basis of a therapeutic approach that Thomas Bickhardt will explain in his lecture.

An AIS rescue transmitter sends the position of a person who has gone overboard to all ships in the vicinity that are equipped with an AIS receiver (transponder) via an AIS signal. The integrated GPS constantly determines the current position of the person in the water. The receiver of the AIS distress signal receives this on his AIS receiver/plotter as an emergency SART sign.
